1 Saturday, April 7:

En Route

Depart the USA on your transatlantic flights to Israel.
2 Sunday, April 8:

Tel Aviv

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv; meeting assistance and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner at your hotel. (B.D)
3 Monday, April 9:

Galilee

Depart Tel Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of
Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. (B.D)
4 Tuesday, April 10:

Galilee

We’ll begin with a short tour of Tiberias before boarding a boat for sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Yigal Alon museum where the “Jesus Boat”, an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. On to Capernaum; see the remains of a 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias Springs and waterfalls and tour the spectacular Golan Heights. Visit Tel Dan National Park. (B.D)
5 Wednesday, April 11:

Jerusalem

Drive to Nazareth, sacred town where Jesus spent part of his youth; visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Continue to Yardenit, the baptismal site at the Jordan River. On to Beit Shean, to explore the extraordinary excavations of an ancient Roman city. Drive along the Jordan River to the holy city of Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
6 Thursday, April 12:

Jerusalem

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of this “golden” city
Visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s Tomb and the Room of the
Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Enter the old city and visit the Cardo, once a main street of ancient Jerusalem. View the Temple Mount, and visit the Western Wall. Follow the Via Dolorosa through the narrow alleys to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the Garden Tomb and the Western Wall Tunnels at the end of the day. Dinner at your hotel. (B.D)
7 Friday, April 13:

Jerusalem

Drive to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist; see the Church of Visitation. Proceed to Yad Vashem, memorial to the Holocaust. We continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity (subject to security condition). Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
8 Saturday, April 14:

Jerusalem

A most exciting day as we drive to Oumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found. Visit this ancient city and drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s Palace. Time and weather permitting, enjoy a “float” in the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
9 Sunday, April 15:

Jerusalem

Visit the City of David; tour site including opportunity to go on a water hike in Hezekiah’s Tunnel concluding the Siloam Pool. On to the Shrine of the Book, at the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the Scale Model of the ancient city of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. Festive final dinner in local restaurant; return to hotel for overnight. (B.D)

10 Monday, April 16:

Jordan

Check out of hotel and transfer to Sheich Hussein Bridge. Meet and assist at Sheich Hussein Bridge by our guide staff, then drive to Madaba, home to some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world. View the 6th century mosaic Map of Jerusalem, possibly the oldest map of the Holy City in existence. Continue to Mount Nebo, highest point in the Moabite mountain range, offering a remarkable view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the spires of Jerusalem. Tradition holds that Moses viewed "the Promised Land" from this peak. Drive to Jerash, which boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. Jerash is known as the "Pompeii of the East" which is perhaps, the best preserved of the provincial Roman towns.  Around its colonnaded main street, see the Cardo, South Theatre, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Artemis Temple and the Nymphaeum. The city's 14 churches date from Byzantine time and are filled with fine mosaics. Then drive to Amman Hotel for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
11 Tuesday, April 17:

Amman

After breakfast, tour the city of Amman, known as Rabbath Ammon and Philadelphia in Biblical times.  See the remains of the Roman Theatre, the Archeological Museum and the Citadel containing the remains of the massive Temple of Hercules then transfer to visit the Baptism site believed to be the original place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Then visit Al Kerak Fortress, a Crusader castle, and one of the three largest castles in the region. Drive to Petra for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
12 Wednesday, April 18:

Petra

After breakfast, another extraordinary day!  This morning will take you on a tour through the breathtaking "rose-red" city (by horseback and foot) which begins at the "Siq," a winding canyon road.  At the end of the passage you'll see Petra's most beautiful monument -- the Treasury -- carved out of the solid rock from the side of the mountain.  Beyond the Treasury, you'll discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a theatre, burial chambers and water channels. Dinner and overnight in Petra. (B.D)
13 Thursday, April 19:

Wadi Rum

Morning jeep tour of Wadi Rum sand dunes. Visit Wadi Rum Visitors Center. Cross the border into Israel at Arava Crossing Point (Eilat). Fly from Eilat to Tel Aviv (1 hour flight) to connect to your return back home.


Rates will be based on the following hotels, or similar:

April 8-9, 2018 – Dan Panorama TLV (1 night)

April 9-11, 2018 – Scotts TIB (2 nights)

April 11-16, 2018 – Dan Panorama JLM (5 nights)

 

Holy Land Tour rates will include the following services:

  • 8 nights’ accommodation at the above hotels or similar, on HB basis (not including April 15 which is on BB).
  • 7 days sightseeing in a luxury touring bus.
  • English speaking licensed tour guide from arrival till departure.
  • One group arrival and departure transfer from/to airport.
  • Entrance fees as per the program below.
  • Porterage at hotels and at Ben Gurion airport upon arrival only.
  • Meet and assist and escort to meet your guide at airport on arrival only.
  • Farewell dinner.

 

Holy Land Tour rates will not include:

  • Tips to guide, driver, waiters etc.
  • Meals & beverages not mentioned in the above.
  • Travel insurance, airfare etc.
  • Expenses of a personal nature.

 

Jordan Extension rates will include:

  • 1 night at the following hotels or similar, on HB basis: 1 nights at the Cham Palace hotel in Amman and 2 night at the Petra Panorama hotel in Petra.
  • Transfer to Allenby Bridge on April 16.
  • Transfer to Eilat airport on April 20
  • Domestic flights Eilat – TLV.
  • Transfer to Ben Gurion airport on April 20.
  • Transfer from Eilat airport.
  • 1 day tour in Petra (seat in a coach).
  • Entrance visa to Jordan + Departure tax.

 

Jordan Extension rates will not include:

  • Meals & beverages not mentioned in the above.
  • Expenses of a personal nature

 

Please note that the above rates for the extension are subject to number of participants registering for the extension and on rooms' availability at hotels.
